The British store Halfords is very popular in the UK. Bicycles and bike parts make up a big part of the company’s sales. So, Halfords is now one of the biggest places in the UK to buy a new bike, and its shops are popular with people who are just starting to ride. Halfords also recently brought back its Cycle Republic line of bike shops, which now has stores all over the UK.
Halfords shops sell all kinds of bikes, from road bikes and mountain bikes to BMX bikes and cyclocross bikes.
Halfords has the best electric bikes.
Carrera Subway 2
The Carrera Subway 2 is very popular on the streets of the UK, and for good reason. It is only sold at Halfords. For its low price, it has a lot of good equipment, such as a lightweight all-alloy frame, a 3×9 Shimano Altus transmission, and Clarks hydraulic disc brakes. It’s a great deal for the price, and we almost gave it five stars when we reviewed it earlier this year.
Voodoo Agwe
Voodoo’s Agwe is another great choice if you want a bike with a lot of value for the city. This rigid hybrid bike with flat handlebars takes its geometry and parts from mountain bikes. For example, it has a good 1×10 Shimano Deore transmission with a wide range 11-42t cassette and Tekno hydraulic disc brakes. It also has a rack mount and full-length mudguards, as well as a seatpost with a built-in backlight.
Halfords’ best road bikes
Halfords sells a huge variety of road bikes with prices running from a few hundred pounds to almost five thousand pounds. Here are a few types that stood out to us and that we liked a lot.
Carbon Boardman Road Team
If you want a good road bike and can spend about £1,000, Boardman’s Road Team Carbon is still one of the best choices. The proven carbon frame of Team Carbon gives a responsive and exciting ride that beats most at this price point.

Boardman MTB Team 29er
Boardman worked on the MTB Team 29er hardtail earlier this year, and as a result, our testers gave it a full five stars. We were blown away by the list of features and even more pleased by how well it was handled. Simply put, it’s a great bike for a great price.
The Incline Alpha from Halfords’ own brand 13 Bikes is another top-rated bike in the store. This fun little hardtail bike rides better than almost all of its competitors. Its quality frame and good air-sprung fork are also worth mentioning.
VooDoo Bizango
The Halfords-owned VooDoo Bizango has been a big player in the cheap mountain bike market for a long time as an alternative to the Boardman MTB Team 29er mentioned above. We don’t see that changing any time soon. It’s a great value bike with a long list of great features that wins almost every test it’s put through.
Boardman Team FS
At this price, full-suspension bikes are definitely not all created equal. The Boardman Team FS is great for a grand, which is good news. This type has always been a good bet, but a recent update has made it easier to climb and more confident when going down.
VooDoo Canzo
Here’s another great mountain bike that can only be bought at Halfords. The people who made the Canzo knew exactly what they were doing when it came to the design of the bike. This means that it can ride better than some bikes that cost twice as much.
Boardman Pro FS
We already know that the Boardman Team FS is a great bike for £1,000, but Boardman also makes this, the Pro FS, for people with more money. For a bike that costs only £1,500, the specs and ride quality are miles ahead of what we’d expect. For 2017, it’s also made with a bigger 20-inch frame.

Boardman CX Team
Boardman’s CX Team is another great new product that came out last year when the company’s line was changed. The CX Team has a carbon frame and fork, SRAM’s Rival 1x wide-range single-ring gear, and hydraulic disc brakes. It costs just under £1,000. It also rode well, which is why BikeRadar gave the CX Team a near-perfect 4.5/5 when they tested it last year.
